Hope isn't wishful thinking; it's your most powerful strategy.

In a world of constant change, hope is the biggest need that people have from their leaders. Despite this, many leaders struggle to truly inspire hope in others. In his insightful book on hope, Ian Pettigrew draws on Positive Psychology research and his own academic studies (for his MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology) to explain how to build hope for yourself and others. Packed with research-backed insights and actionable techniques, 'Hope is a Strategy' serves as your guide to becoming the kind of leader people want to follow—one who helps others envision a better future and empowers them to believe they can create it. Importantly, hope isn't merely a feeling; it's a choice, a skill, and a strategy. To further enhance your understanding, the hope playsheet included in the book offers practical exercises, steering clear of toxic positivity, and instead fostering a genuine sense of optimism.
